Privacy

What we keep, and what never reaches us.

Short version: the tool needs nothing from you to work, and it asks for nothing. Two things are stored, both only because you pressed a button that says so.

Your design never reaches the server

A design lives in the fragment of the URL — the part after the #. Browsers do not send the fragment to the server, so as you work, nothing about the cloth leaves your machine. Exports are rendered in the browser and saved by the browser; no file is uploaded.

The two things we store

A short link, if you make one
Pressing copy share link sends the encoded design to us and returns a short address for it. We keep the design and nothing else — no name, no address, nothing that identifies you. The link's id is a hash of the design itself, so the same cloth always produces the same link. Anyone with the link can read it; that is what sharing means.
An email address, if you give one
The Colour Radar field stores your address and the date you gave it, so we can write to you. Nothing else is attached to it — not your designs, not where you came from, not your IP address. Every export on the site works without it.

What we do not do

  • No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising.
  • No cookies. The site sets none, and stores nothing in your browser.
  • No accounts, and no password to lose.
  • No third-party fonts or scripts. Typefaces are served from this site, so loading a page tells nobody else that you did.

Who else is involved

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which serves the pages and holds the two stores above on our behalf. Like any host, Cloudflare processes the requests needed to deliver the site and keeps its own operational and security logs; we do not read them or build anything from them.

How long, and how to have it removed

A short link is kept so it keeps working — a link that stops resolving is a broken promise to whoever you sent it to. An email address is kept until you ask us to drop it.

An address for these requests is being set up and will be published here. Until it is, we would rather say so than print one that bounces. Nothing about the tool itself needs it: the only personal thing we hold is an email address, and only if you typed one in.
